Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a striking assessment regarding the possibility of the U.S. considering withdrawing from NATO. Zelensky pointed out that if the U.S. were to leave the alliance, all security in Europe would depend solely on the European Union, stating that this could not be achieved without four countries, including Turkey, and added, "Russia should be afraid of the unity of these countries."

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated in a post on his social media account that he met with journalists in his office in Kiev to answer questions on the agenda.

"IF THE US WITHDRAWS FROM NATO..."

Emphasizing the vital importance of the unity between the US and Europe, Zelensky pointed out that if the US is seriously considering withdrawing from NATO, all security in Europe would be left solely to the European Union (EU). Zelensky stressed that Europe's security must be prioritized above all else, stating, "If Russia has decided to increase its army to 2 million and aims for an army of 2.5 million by 2030, Europe must think about its security above all."

COUNTING 4 COUNTRIES INCLUDING TURKEY: EUROPE'S SECURITY CANNOT BE ENSURED WITHOUT THESE COUNTRIES

Zelensky noted that they are continuing the reform processes for EU membership but that what can be done under war conditions is limited. He commented, "We are doing things beyond what we can do. We need to survive." Zelensky emphasized that Europe's security cannot be ensured without England, Ukraine, Turkey, and Norway, and that the EU must develop a strategic partnership with these countries, saying: "Without Ukraine and Turkey, Europe cannot have a military power similar to Russia's. Together with Ukraine, Turkey, Norway, and the United Kingdom, you control not just one sea but the security of all seas. That is why the EU must find a way to include these four countries in the process through friendship or strategic partnership and establish the strongest union in the world in both economy and security. I am not talking about an offensive power here. I am only talking about defense, security, and the world's largest land force."

“RUSSIA SHOULD FEAR THE UNITY OF THESE COUNTRIES”

Arguing that European countries need to focus on "how to protect their lifestyles, histories, and independence," Zelensky stated, "Russia should fear the unity of these countries. When you achieve this, all people on your continent will find peace, and only then can other steps be taken."

On the other hand, Zelensky noted that the EU is also hesitant about Turkey and has concerns such as agricultural capacities or market balances, saying, "But if you have a strong economy, you manage all of this. You must save your country first, then your economy. Security comes first, then the economy, not the other way around."

SYRIA VISIT

Referring to his visit to Syria, Zelensky mentioned that children who saw Ukrainian flags applauded him. Zelensky commented that Russia and Iran have caused significant destruction in Syria and that years are needed for reconstruction. He stated that his visits to Gulf countries and Syria took place within the framework of long-term strategic relations, adding that these contacts are not only related to Iran's drones (UAVs) but also cover various issues such as the protection of energy infrastructure, water resources, and strengthening fortifications.
