The General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses stated that the claims published in a newspaper, "The residence in Imralı is nearly finished" and "Öcalan's villa in Imralı is nearly finished," are untrue.
The General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses announced that the claims regarding the residence in Imralı and the villa belonging to Öcalan are unfounded. It was also stated that a legal process has been initiated due to these baseless claims.
"THE VILLA CLAIM ABOUT ÖCALAN IS BASELESS"
In a statement made from the General Directorate's social media account, the following expressions were included: "The claims stated on the front page of today's Sözcü newspaper and on the newspaper's social media accounts, such as 'The residence in Imralı is nearing completion' and 'Öcalan's villa in Imralı is nearing completion,' are unfounded. There is no construction or allocation of a villa or private residence in Imralı Penitentiary Institution. A legal process has been initiated regarding these baseless claims aimed at misleading the public."
