Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was detained as part of a drug investigation, was arrested; following the decision, Prof. Dr. Oytun Erbaş's statements regarding the detection of banned substances in a television program hosted by Cebeci came back to the agenda.
EXPLAINED THE METHODS OF DETECTING DRUGS
In the program where the drug operation involving celebrities was discussed, Prof. Dr. Oytun Erbaş explained the methods used to detect drugs.
Erbaş stated, "A blood test will be conducted, but there is a problem with the blood test. The banned substance, that is, the drug, shows up in the blood for a maximum of one day. In urine, however, the metabolites show up for four days. Hair is very important for forensic authorities. It remains in the hair for ninety days," he said.
"IS THIS VALID FOR ALL TYPES OF DRUGS?"
Surprised by Erbaş's statements, Cebeci asked, "Is this valid for all types?" After Erbaş mentioned that if the hair is dyed, the amount of drug would show up lower, Ela Rümeysa Cebeci reacted, "Aaaa, so it shows up less in blondes," she responded.
