The project, with a cost announced as $55 million, aims to provide an additional annual contribution of approximately €49 million to Fenerbahçe's revenue upon completion.
The details of the new stadium project that Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım has been working on have been revealed. While the capacity of Ülker Stadium is planned to be increased to 64,000, it is aimed to provide an additional annual income of 49 million euros to the club by increasing the number and capacity of the suites.
CAPACITY WILL INCREASE TO 64,000
The details of the new stadium project, which is among the election promises of Aziz Yıldırım, who is continuing the presidential race at Fenerbahçe, have begun to become clear. According to the project, the current stadium capacity will be significantly increased to 64,000. With the capacity increase, it is aimed to both increase the number of fans and achieve a serious increase in matchday revenues.
SUITE NUMBER WILL ALMOST DOUBLE
According to the information shared by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, great importance is also given to the suite capacity in the project. While it is planned to increase the current number of suites, which is 84, to over 160, the suite seating capacity, currently at 820, will reach approximately 2,000. Additionally, it is aimed to build large sponsor suites on two of the four main columns in the stadium.
FAMILIAR NAMES WILL MANAGE THE PROJECT
It has been stated that Barış Göktürk and Nihat Özbağı will manage the operational process of the project, while businessman Nihat Özdemir will undertake the construction work. It was also reported that Özgür Peker will provide support in some sections. Construction work is planned to begin after the necessary permits are obtained.
COST 55 MILLION DOLLARS
The total cost of the new stadium project has been stated to be 55 million dollars. It is reported that the club management anticipates that the investment will pay for itself in a short time through increased revenue.
ANNUAL ADDITIONAL INCOME OF 49 MILLION EUROS TARGETED
The most striking detail in the project is the expected increase in revenue. According to claims, it is planned to generate approximately 25 million euros in additional annual income thanks to the capacity increase. With the introduction of new suites, it is aimed to generate an additional 24 million euros annually. Thus, the total additional annual income is expected to reach 49 million euros.
