MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made statements at his party's group meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Reminding the proposal for terrorist leader Öcalan to call for an end to terrorism in the DEM Party group, Bahçeli reiterated his call.

Stating that the roots of terrorism will be eradicated in the Century of Turkey, Bahçeli said, "If the terrorist leader is going to say that terrorism is over, let him come to the DEM group and say these one by one. I stand by my words and I am persistent in my proposal."

"No one should worry, do not be afraid, the flag will not come down from the mast," said Bahçeli, adding, "We will move forward confidently and firmly towards the crescent, united as one. We will wholeheartedly believe that we have no second option."

Bahçeli used the following expressions:

"Shouldn't we raise our voices against those who try to pit the Turk against the Kurd and the Kurd against the Turk? Should we leave our future hostage? Should we remain silent against the violation of our independence? Our greatest strength is our national unity, which is as solid as steel. In the Century of Turkey, the roots of terrorism will be eradicated. We are one heart with our Kurdish brothers, united against separatist terrorism. If the terrorist leader is going to say that terrorism is over, let him come to the DEM group and say these one by one. I stand by the solution and I am persistent in my proposal."
