The journalist Didem Arslan Yılmaz, who covered the disappearance of 8-year-old Narin Güran in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, made a striking statement after the sad news. STRIKING STATEMENT FROM DIDEM ARSLANDidem Arslan, who brought the family to live broadcast and informed the public with the information she conveyed, used the words "The family knew, they kept silent. Shame on them." MINISTERS NOT OFFERING CONDOLENCES DREW ATTENTIONDidem Arslan's comment, as someone who closely knows Narin's family, carries great importance, and today the fact that 3 ministers did not offer condolences to the family in their messages about Narin drew attention. The messages of Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, and finally Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş not offering condolences to the family were interpreted as a sign that one of the family members could be involved in the murder. "ALL SUSPICIONS TURNED TOWARDS THE FAMILY"The statements of journalist Emrullah Erdinç, who connected to the live broadcast after the development with Narin, also strengthened the allegations. Erdinç said, "Narin's family was a powerful family. That's why no family in the village could speak. In fact, family members were visiting the uncle who was arrested in prison. People related to the family will emerge from this murder. All suspicions turned towards the family. The uncle, who is the primary suspect due to the presence of DNA samples in the car and his previous suspicious statements, is most likely the one who killed or knew about the murder. All of these will be revealed through the investigation. The uncle is most likely among the first suspects." WHAT HAPPENED?Narin Güran, who went to the Quran course in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district on August 21, did not return home after the course, so her family searched for her on their own. When no results were obtained from the search, Narin's father Arif Güran reported that his daughter was missing on the same day around 20:00. As a result, many search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and searches were conducted in houses in the neighborhood and vehicles entering the village. While the search was ongoing, Narin's brother E.G. (18) was detained due to bite marks on his arm. When it could not be determined whether the bite marks belonged to Narin in the examination at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institute, E.G. was released. Then Narin's uncle, who is also the muhtar (village head) of the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, Salim Güran, was detained. Salim Güran, whose DNA samples taken from his car matched the DNA samples on Narin's clothes, was arrested for "intentional killing" and "deprivation of liberty." As the teams focused on the previously searched areas again, they conducted a search in the Eğertutmaz Stream, located 2 kilometers away from the neighborhood, and found Narin's lifeless body on the 19th day. It was determined that Narin was killed and thrown into the stream with a sack, and her body was covered with stones.
