In the food inspections conducted in Çanakkale over the last month, a total fine of 1 million 800 thousand 249 TL was imposed on businesses that did not comply with hygiene regulations. The scene encountered in one establishment was particularly disgusting.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to expose companies that sell fraudulent food, while inspections of businesses are ongoing. The latest inspection took place in Çanakkale, where the scene encountered was nauseating.
1.8 MILLION TL FINE IN 1 MONTH
As of November 19, the teams of the Provincial and District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry started inspections across the city of Çanakkale, examining 816 out of 10,341 businesses one by one.
Businesses that disregarded hygiene rules and jeopardized public health were subjected to penalties. In the food inspections conducted in Çanakkale over the last month, a total fine of 1 million 800 thousand 249 TL was imposed.
MINISTRY'S CONTROL PLAN IN EFFECT
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry had prepared an official control plan targeting sales points of high-risk animal products such as meat, chicken, and dairy products, as well as collective consumption places, between November 19 and December 5 in 81 provinces.
As part of the plan, numerous businesses were sealed and fines were imposed during inspections conducted in various provinces. It was also revealed that some businesses did not have a valid operating certificate.
