Donald Trump, who was elected as the 47th president of the United States, announced that businessman Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the Department of Government Efficiency. Musk commented on his appointment, saying, "This will send shockwaves through the system and among those involved in government waste."
Donald Trump, regarding the appointment, stated that Musk and Ramaswamy would lead the ministry abbreviated as "DOGE" in collaboration. Donald Trump mentioned that the elimination of government bureaucracy, reduction of excessive regulations, cutting wasteful spending, and restructuring federal agencies would be facilitated by Musk and Ramaswamy.
Trump noted that this would become the "Manhattan Project" of our time, expressing that Republican politicians have long dreamed of the "DOGE" goals.
UNPRECEDENTED ENTREPRENEURIAL APPROACH
Trump stated that the Department of Government Efficiency would provide advice and guidance from outside the government, collaborating with the White House and the Office of Management and Budget to drive large-scale structural reform and create an unprecedented entrepreneurial approach to government.

ANNUAL $6.5 TRILLION WASTE
Emphasizing that they would eliminate the significant waste and fraud in the annual $6.5 trillion government spending, Trump stated that Musk and Ramaswamy would work together to liberate the U.S. economy and hold the government accountable to the people.
Trump noted that their work would be completed by July 4, 2026, stating that a more efficient and less bureaucratic smaller government would be a "gift" to the country on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
