Due to the dense fog affecting the Dardanelles Strait, the Çanakkale-Eceabat ferry services have been temporarily suspended. Additionally, the shipping traffic in the strait has been closed in both directions.

The dense fog, which has been increasing its effect in the Dardanelles Strait, has caused disruptions in maritime transportation. Due to the reduced visibility, the strait traffic was closed to transit ship passages in both directions as of 06:17. Officials from the Dardanelles Strait Vessel Traffic Services Directorate warned ship captains entering from the north and south via radio and announced that the strait traffic has been closed.
