Two people were injured in a vehicle that fell into a ravine in the Ardanuç district of Artvin. It was decided to transfer the seriously injured patient from Ardanuç State Hospital to Artvin State Hospital. During the transfer preparations, the patient's heart stopped, and the doctor, racing against time, performed CPR on the patient while transferring. The cries of the relatives during the transfer broke hearts.
At around 23:30 in the Adakale neighborhood of Ardanuç district in Artvin, İsmail Ş., who was driving his vehicle, lost control of the steering wheel and rolled down the cliff by the roadside. In the accident, the driver İsmail Ş. and the passenger Yusuf Y. were injured. Emergency medical teams dispatched to the scene upon notification provided first aid to the injured at the accident site.
HIS HEART STOPPED DURING THE TRANSFER
The injured were later taken to Ardanuç State Hospital. Initial checks revealed that Yusuf Y.'s health condition was good, while it was decided to transfer İsmail Ş., whose condition was serious, to Artvin State Hospital. During the transfer preparations, it was determined that İsmail Ş., who was taken to the ambulance on a stretcher, had stopped breathing.
THE DOCTOR PERFORMED CPR ON THE STRETCHER
Upon this, the doctor at Ardanuç State Hospital, racing against time, climbed onto the stretcher and began performing CPR on the patient. The doctor did not stop the CPR until they reached the ambulance. İsmail Ş., whose heart was attempted to be restarted, was transferred to Artvin State Hospital with the accompaniment of 112 Emergency Medical teams.
THE SCREAMS BROKE HEARTS
During the incident, the screams of the patient's relatives broke hearts. While the treatment of the injured İsmail Ş. continued at Artvin State Hospital, an investigation was initiated regarding the accident.
