Dursun Özbek severely criticized Ali Koç: He won't be able to recover from it.

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made striking statements once again about the incidents that occurred after the Fenerbahçe derby. Özbek criticized Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç harshly, saying, "What Ali Koç and his followers did that day will not go unnoticed; I want to say this. First, refuse to come and watch the match, then try to invade an empty stadium with armed men and bodyguards. Enter the field and attack people. Such thuggery cannot be tolerated."

The echoes of the fierce derby match between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, in which Fenerbahçe defeated Galatasaray away and kept the championship race alive until the last week of the Super Lig's 37th week, continue. Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made statements to Sözcü about the derby defeat and the events that followed. Özbek criticized Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç, saying, "Galatasaray plays every match to win. Yes, relegation and championship calculations can be made, but Galatasaray is never involved in such arithmetic calculations. We have only one goal, to go out on the field and get the best result... Galatasaray has always said 'May is ours' even in the toughest times and has shown this to everyone, friends and enemies alike. Adnan Polat also added '20.45' during his term. The institutional structure, our sports organization may change, our presidents may change, but May will always be ours. We are the team of finals. We are playing the final in Konya this Sunday, and we will win. May will belong to Galatasaray today, tomorrow, and even 100 years later. What Ali Koç and his followers did that day will not be forgotten; I want to say that. First, refrain from coming to watch the match, then try to invade an empty stadium with armed men and bodyguards. Enter the field and attack people. Such banditry cannot be tolerated! Our club took legal action on the same night. We have seen the results. We are doing whatever is necessary in the strongest way possible and following the process. Soon, you will see that whoever commits this banditry will not get away with it." Özbek said.

Özbek reminded the incidents between Koç and the field officials and said, "Our friend who was beaten is in the hospital. It is extremely disturbing that even this situation is being used as a campaign material. We need to be united and together. I have things to say about this as well, but I am avoiding disturbing the concentration of our community. Our only agenda right now is the match we will play on Sunday and the championship we will win... We are staying at Florya. We are with the team, we are Galatasaray fans; serving Galatasaray is our most important goal. Our door is open to anyone who wants to serve Galatasaray. But I will not shy away from fighting those who try to sow discord within this community with rumors. They say we did not make the tender transparent, but we have not made any tender yet! We have not signed any contracts with anyone. There are two more companies; we also want to listen to them and their intentions. I do not think that what is being discussed about the project reflects the truth," he said.
