Samsunspor made an official statement regarding the health status of Jaures Assoumou, who was injured in the match against Gaziantep FK. The Black Sea team announced that a serious ligament injury was detected in the player's right knee.
GRADE 3 LIGAMENT INJURY
In the statement made by the club, it was noted that during the examination and imaging tests conducted on Assoumou, who was injured in the Gaziantep FK match played on 01.03.2026, a grade 3 injury was detected in the medial collateral ligament of the right knee. Samsunspor announced that the treatment and rehabilitation process for the player has been initiated by the medical team.
ABSENT IN THE FENERBAHÇE MATCH
Samsunspor will face Fenerbahçe away in the league this week. Jaures Assoumou is not expected to play in this match.

"In the Gaziantep FK match played on 01.03.2026, a grade 3 injury was detected in the medial collateral ligament of the right knee of our injured player Jaurès Assoumou as a result of the examination and imaging tests conducted.
