Ecrin Tunç went missing on May 14, 2015, at the age of 4 while playing in the courtyard of her last home in the Harmanlı neighborhood of the Midyat district, as her mother was cleaning. Despite the searches by the family and law enforcement, there has been no news of Ecrin for 9 years. The family, calling out to the authorities, wants their daughter to be found.

FATHER CALLS OUT TO STATE OFFICIALS

Bekir Tunç, Ecrin Tunç's father, stated that they realized their daughter went missing at 11:30 AM on May 14, 2015. Tunç expressed that despite searching the village, surrounding villages, exits of the village, and all the land with law enforcement, they have not reached any conclusion. "Since that time, we have distributed missing person flyers, we have not received any results, and now I request from state officials that I want Ecrin to be found. Ecrin is the daughter of all of us. As a family, we are devastated. We have no day or night; I request from state officials," he said.

WILL MAKE A FILM TO RAISE AWARENESS

Halil Tunçer, who started projects like making a film to raise awareness after losing his young daughter, said, "I learned about the Ecrin case online and wanted to meet her father and family. I learned about the issue in detail, and as a father of a daughter, I consider the recent events and have been working on projects related to our children and families regarding such cases. I lost my daughter a short time ago. Seeing such news inevitably causes me to experience some emotional problems myself," he expressed.
