In the capital of Albania, Tirana, President Erdoğan was welcomed by Prime Minister Edi Rama. Rama's choice to wear white sneakers made a strong impression during the greeting. President Erdoğan was heard saying, "You're wearing sneakers," while pointing at Rama's shoes.
The sixth summit of the European Political Community, which brings together the countries of the European Union and the neighboring geography outside the union, will be held in Tirana. In this context, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is continuing intense diplomatic traffic, has gone to Tirana. President Erdoğan, who landed in Tirana a few minutes ago, was welcomed by Edi Rama.
RAMA'S SHOES CAUGHT ATTENTION
Erdoğan, who was officially welcomed by Rama, posed for the cameras. The meeting of the two leaders in the rain was marked by Rama's white sports shoes. It was heard that Erdoğan pointed out Rama's shoes at that moment, saying, "You are wearing sports shoes."
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama also attended the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit held in Washington in 2024 wearing white sports shoes.
LEADERS OF 47 COUNTRIES WILL BE AT THE SUMMIT
In addition to the leaders of 47 countries, the presidents of the European Council, European Commission, and European Parliament will also attend the summit. During Erdoğan's meetings, it is expected that he will evaluate global and regional developments, especially the Russia-Ukraine negotiations in Istanbul. Erdoğan will also bring up Israel's massacres and the humanitarian drama in Gaza. President Erdoğan will also hold bilateral meetings as part of the summit.
3 SEPARATE MEETINGS
The main theme of the summit in Albania has been determined as 'A New Europe in a New World: Unity-Cooperation-Common Action'. The leaders will evaluate current issues concerning the continent. In this context, three separate roundtable meetings will be held.
They are expected to assess issues related to European security, the defense of democracy, competitiveness, and preparedness and intervention capabilities against various threats.
