Effective from August 1st! 38 percent increase in natural gas used in residential areas.

Botas, the Pipeline Corporation for Petroleum Transportation, announced that as of August, there has been a 38% increase in the wholesale price of natural gas used in residential areas, and a 33.1% increase in the sale price of natural gas used by independent consumers with an annual natural gas consumption of 300,000 cubic meters or less, excluding electricity generation.

38% INCREASE IN NATURAL GAS PRICES

Botas published the tariff for residential and industrial subscribers, as well as the tariff table for electricity generation purposes on its website for August. Accordingly, as of August, the wholesale price of natural gas used in residential areas has increased by 38%, and the sale price of natural gas used by independent consumers with an annual natural gas consumption of 300,000 cubic meters or less, excluding electricity generation, has increased by 33.1%.

There has been no change in the wholesale price of natural gas used for electricity generation or in the sale price of natural gas used by independent consumers with an annual natural gas consumption of 300,001 cubic meters or more, excluding electricity generation. The tariff for industrial subscribers has been set at 8,549 Turkish lira for 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas in tier 1, and 11,380 Turkish lira for tier 2. The price of 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas for electricity generation purposes has been announced as 12,000 Turkish lira.

Botas has announced that the sale price it will apply to distribution companies for residential consumers in August is 5,631 Turkish lira for 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas.

MONTHLY CALCULATION OF NATURAL GAS PRICE TARIFFS

In the announcement on the institution's website, it was stated that "The wholesale prices of natural gas by our institution are determined at the most reasonable level, taking into account market conditions, market price stability, decisions of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority regarding tariffs, and changes in procurement and operating expenses, and are presented to consumers."
