Ekrem İmamoğlu: We are ready for power.

The Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), Ekrem İmamoğlu, spoke at the opening of the Kent Lokantası in Üsküdar after being reminded of Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç's words to him, "He should focus on Istanbul."

"THEY ARE DEAF TO THE CITIZENS"

Regarding Minister Tunç's words, İmamoğlu stated, "Actually, it is not a comment worth responding to," and added, "I am responding by recalling the mediocrity of this description. The person he said should 'focus on Istanbul' is facing a ridiculous political ban in a nonsensical case on a global scale and is crying out. They cannot even comprehend this. Their senses to hear the citizens are closed. They are still trying to act as the prosecutor of that case. A minister should be asking, 'What does this mean?'"

"WE ARE READY FOR POWER"

İmamoğlu, whose claims of being a "presidential candidate" are gaining strength day by day, also gave a signal of candidacy in his response to Minister Tunç. Stating, "We want the change of power now and we are ready for power," İmamoğlu made a bold statement, saying that they have the capability to govern the nation together with the people.

WHAT DID MINISTER TUNÇ SAY?

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç had reacted to the evaluation that the change of the judge in the case against IMM President İmamoğlu was a "banishment." Minister Tunç stated, "It is completely absurd to interpret the transfer of the judge, who was requested not to preside over our case and whose recusal was filed for other reasons by them, as if they were continuing the judge of the case. This friend should be dealing with the problems of Istanbulites instead of stirring up trouble."
