Famous actor Engin Altan Düzyatan became a target of scammers. A fraudster, posing as someone calling from the Aydın Municipality, requested money to purchase a wheelchair. The famous actor later stated that he realized he had fallen into the scammers' trap and recounted the incident he experienced.

Famous actor Engin Altan Düzyatan fell into the trap of scammers. Düzyatan, who did not refuse the request for money from a scammer claiming to be calling from Aydın Municipality to buy a so-called wheelchair, said, "I can be easily scammed."

Last night, at the premiere of the film 'Dünya Varmış', the famous actor answered questions from journalists and shared an interesting scam story he experienced, in addition to his statements about the film.

Düzyatan, thinking he was being called from Aydın Municipality, said he bought 4 wheelchairs instead of the 2 requested and deposited the money into the bank account number provided by the scammers.

Engin Altan Düzyatan described the incident as follows;

''One day, while my wife Neslişah was next to me, I received a call saying, 'We are calling from Aydın Municipality.' A very serious man said, 'I am the secretary of Aydın Municipality, Mr. Engin, we know you, you are a very sensitive person. We bought thirty-eight wheelchairs, only the last two are left. Our mayor is also requesting them from you.' Then he connected me to someone else who claimed to be the mayor. The man thanked me, we chatted. I said, 'What do you mean, sir, I can even take 3-4 more' and I deposited the money. Neslişah said, 'This can't be real,' but I thought I was talking to the mayor. I deposited the money, and then both the caller and the one who connected me disappeared. I get scammed very easily.''
