President Erdogan is going to Washington, the capital of the United States, today to attend the NATO summit. It is expected that President Erdogan will bring up the steps to be taken to stop the massacre in Gaza by Israel. It has been learned that the other 3 files in President Erdogan's bag are about the developments in the Middle East, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the security of the Black Sea.

President Erdogan is flying to the US today to attend the NATO Leaders Summit, which will take place as part of the 75th anniversary commemoration program.

MEETING WITH BIDEN

President Erdogan will also attend the meeting of state and government leaders of the 32-member alliance tomorrow. In the evening of the same day, leaders and their spouses will meet at the dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden at the White House.

NUMEROUS BILATERAL MEETINGS

Leaders will gather around the same table on Thursday for the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting. The President will also hold numerous bilateral meetings during the summit.

It is reported that President Erdogan will bring up the steps to be taken to stop Israel's massacre in Gaza at the summit, and the other 3 files in his bag are said to be related to developments in the Middle East, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the security of the Black Sea. The President will hold a press conference before leaving Washington.

MEMBER COUNTRIES TO DISCUSS DEFENSE MEASURES

At this year's summit, NATO members will discuss security issues. In this period, which is one of the biggest security challenges in the world since the Cold War, member countries will discuss defense measures.

STATEMENT FROM THE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTORATE

The Communications Directorate made a statement about the summit on its social media account. The statement said, "At the summit, which coincides with the 75th anniversary of NATO's establishment, discussions will be held on the challenges and risks facing the Alliance's geography, the organization's efforts in deterrence and defense, the situation in Ukraine, and support for this country. Steps taken in the fight against terrorism will also be on the summit agenda."

In addition, it was stated that "Leaders of NATO's partners in the Asia-Pacific region, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand, as well as the President of Ukraine and representatives of the European Union, will also participate in the relevant sessions. It is envisaged that our President will hold bilateral meetings with some participating heads of state and government during the summit."
