President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed the Chairman of the Sudan Sovereignty Council, Abdelfattah al-Burhan, with an official ceremony at the Presidential Complex. The two leaders discussed Turkey-Sudan bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments during their closed-door meeting.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the Chairman of the Sudan Sovereignty Council, Abdulfattah al-Burhan, to discuss Turkey-Sudan bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to a statement from the Presidency's Communication Directorate, the meeting addressed the advancement of cooperation in areas such as trade, agriculture, defense industry, and mining between the two countries.
"WE STAND BY SUDAN IN THE BIGGEST HUMANITARIAN CRISES"
President Erdoğan emphasized that the conflicts in Sudan have become one of the world's largest humanitarian crises, stressing the need for serious steps to be taken to prevent actions that constitute crimes against humanity, particularly in the El Fasher region.
"PERMANENT PEACE MUST BE ESTABLISHED"
Erdoğan stated that Turkey desires peace, stability, and the preservation of territorial integrity in Sudan, highlighting the importance of achieving a ceasefire and establishing lasting peace among Sudanese people. He also announced that Turkey will continue to meet the needs of Sudanese facing a humanitarian crisis through aid.
