The President of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdulqadir al-Hasriya, announced that a new Syrian currency will be launched, marking an economic turning point. Hasriya stated that details about the new currency will be shared at a meeting scheduled for December 28.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdulqadir al-Hasriya, announced that the new Syrian currency will be launched.
In a post on his social media account, Central Bank Governor Hasriya stated that the decree No. 293 dated 2025 regarding the launch of the new currency has been published.
NEW CURRENCY IS COMING TO THE MARKET
Hasriya noted that the new currency represents an important national milestone reflecting the beginning of a new economic and monetary era.
"IT WILL BE A STEP TOWARDS ECONOMIC RECOVERY"
Central Bank Governor Hasriya stated: "The new Syrian currency represents a symbol of our financial sovereignty after liberation and marks the beginning of a new phase built with the cooperation of everyone under the management of the Central Bank of Syria. This will be a solid step towards national success, stability, and economic recovery, adding to what has been achieved since liberation."
