Sadettin Saran, who was detained and later released as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, made an interesting statement. Saran mentioned that scammers have started sending SMS messages using his name and urged people not to trust these messages, stating, "A legal complaint will be filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the phone numbers from which the SMS messages were sent."
The drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau is ongoing.
SADDETTIN SARAN RELEASED
As a result of additional evidence obtained within the scope of the investigation, it was decided to apply judicial control measures in the form of "signing in" on Mondays and Thursdays for Sadettin Saran, who was detained on charges of "providing narcotic substances," "facilitating the use of narcotic substances," and "using narcotic substances."
SARAN'S WARNING AGAINST SCAMMERS' SMS TRAP
After his release, Saran made a notable post. He stated that scammers have started sending SMS messages using his name and requested that these messages not be taken seriously.
"A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WILL BE FILED WITH THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE"
Saran used the following statements in his social media post: "It has become necessary to make this statement due to SMS messages sent for fraudulent purposes by some individuals using my name. I kindly request that these messages be disregarded. A legal criminal complaint will be filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the mobile phone numbers from which these SMS messages were sent. Respectfully announced to the public."
