The High Military Council (YAŞ) will meet today under the presidency of President Erdoğan. Prior to the meeting, President Erdoğan visited Anıtkabir with the members of the High Military Council.

"WE WILL PROTECT OUR HOMELAND TO THE END"

In his note while signing the Anıtkabir Special Book, President Erdoğan stated, "We are determined to protect our homeland, nation, state, and national interests to the end by taking all necessary precautions against the resurfacing expansionist ambitions in recent days. We will not allow those who want to turn our region into a sea of blood and we will continue to be a source of trust for our own citizens as well as our friends."

IMPORTANT NAMES WILL ATTEND THE MEETING

Members of the Council, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, Commander of the Land Forces General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Commander of the Naval Forces Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, and Commander of the Air Forces General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu will attend the YAŞ meeting at the Presidential Complex.

WORK WILL BE COMPLETED IN ONE DAY

In the meeting, the promotions of colonels, extension of their terms of office, as well as the promotion and appointment files of generals and admirals will be discussed. It is expected that the YAŞ works will be completed in one day, and after President Erdoğan's approval, the decisions of the Council will be announced to the public.
