A natural gas explosion occurred on the ground floor of an apartment building in the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ. The fire resulting from the explosion was extinguished by the fire department. Two people were injured in the explosion and were taken to the hospital.

In the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ, 2 people were injured in a natural gas explosion that occurred in an apartment on the ground floor of a 4-story building. The explosion happened around 08:00 in an apartment on Cevizli Street in the Bağlık neighborhood of Çerkezköy. A fire broke out in the apartment due to the explosion, which was reported to be caused by natural gas. The explosion caused damage to the apartment, and the windows of nearby buildings were shattered. Upon notification, police, medical, and fire teams were dispatched to the address. The injured were taken to Çerkezköy State Hospital for treatment.

2 PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Firefighters intervened in the fire and extinguished it. 4 people, including 2 children, who were trapped on the 4th floor of the building were evacuated using the fire truck's ladder. Çerkezköy District Governor Nazmi Günlü arrived at the scene to monitor the operations. Günlü stated that the explosion was initially reported to be caused by natural gas. He noted that a total of 13 people lived in the building and that the 2 injured individuals were taken to the hospital as a precaution, adding that the exact cause of the explosion would be determined after investigations.
