Famous presenter Cansu Canan Özgen was scammed by a call from a number resembling bank account numbers. The person, who introduced himself as a bank official, convinced Özgen and transferred 450,000 Turkish Liras from the famous presenter to another account. Realizing she had been scammed, Özgen went to the prosecutor's office and filed a criminal complaint.

In December of last year, a person named Mustafa A. called TV100 presenter Cansu Canan Özgen from a line resembling a bank number. He told the famous presenter that an action needed to be taken for account security. Özgen was convinced that the caller was a bank official.

NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY UPON REALIZATION

The suspicious person transferred 450 thousand lira from the account of the server he accessed to another account. Upon realizing the situation, Özgen immediately informed the bank officials.

SCAMMER ARRESTED AND IMPRISONED

According to a report by Sabah; after a block was placed on her accounts, the famous presenter went to the prosecutor's office and filed a criminal complaint. Özgen stated in her testimony that an attack was carried out against her personal rights and that she suffered material and moral damage. Following the investigation, the suspect Mustafa A. was caught, taken into custody, and was arrested by the court and sent to prison. A case was opened against Mustafa A. with a request for 10 years in prison for the crime of "qualified fraud."
