In a video he published on his social media account, Estrada described the process he is going through, saying, "I swear to God, I never thought I would find myself in such a situation in my life. I can't pass through Turkey without a visa, and I can't return to Iran because an exit stamp was placed on my passport, and I am officially considered to have left. But my manager and business partner told me, 'Try, you won't lose anything.' And today, I have to sleep in this chair. I haven't slept for more than 24 hours."
20 HOURS OF TRAVEL, VISA OBSTACLE
The Cuban athlete stated that he traveled for more than 20 hours by car and only fed on pasta and tea. Estrada, who said he contacted the Cuban embassies in Iran and Turkey, requested an official letter to allow his passage.
Estrada, who said, "I want a letter from the Cuban Embassy in Turkey or Iran saying, 'Allow the passage of the person holding this passport, he is fleeing the war in Iran,'" expressed that he could not complete the visa procedures due to the lack of internet access in Iran.
"NOBODY DESERVES THIS"
The athlete, showing his fatigue under his eyes, reiterated his call for help with the words, "Nobody deserves this, I wouldn't wish it even on my worst enemy."
