A mother and her 1-year-old daughter lost their lives in a safari vehicle that rolled off a cliff in Alanya district of Antalya. HAND BRAKE FAILED, JEEP ROLLED OFF THE CLIFFThe accident occurred around 18:30 on Kütürüp Street in Sugözü neighborhood. Emre Alıcı, his wife Esma Alıcı (31), and their 1-year-old daughter Fatma Ela Alıcı got in their safari vehicle with license plate 07 AYK 819 to go for a ride. Allegedly, when the vehicle didn't start, Emre Alıcı got out of the car for control, and at that moment, the hand brake of the jeep failed, causing it to start moving suddenly. Despite Emre Alıcı's efforts to stop the moving jeep, the jeep first hit the wall and then rapidly went downhill, rolling off the cliff. MOTHER AND DAUGHTER LOST THEIR LIVESJust before falling off the cliff, due to the impact of the collision, Emre Alıcı fell off the car while trying to stop it, and the vehicle, which fell from a height of meters to the place where construction materials were located, caused severe injuries to Esma Alıcı and their daughter Fatma Ela Alıcı. Upon the notification of the people around, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After conducting their examinations, the teams determined that Esma Alıcı, who was trapped inside the vehicle, lost her life. The injured child was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but despite the doctors' interventions, she lost her life. The relatives who arrived at the scene had a nervous breakdown. After the forensic examination, the lifeless bodies of the mother and daughter were sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
