Fenerbahçe Beko honored its legendary player İbrahim Kutluay by hanging his jersey in the Ülker Sports and Event Hall before the Panathinaikos match.
Fenerbahçe Beko honored former national basketball player İbrahim Kutluay. The jersey of Kutluay, who served in the yellow-navy blue team for many years, was hung in the Ülker Sports and Event Hall during a ceremony held before the match against the Greek team Panathinaikos AKTOR in the 16th week of the Basketball Euroleague.
HE BECAME THE THIRD NAME TO HAVE HIS JERSEY HUNG
İbrahim Kutluay became the third person to be honored in this way after Fenerbahçe's former players Mirsad Türkcan and Ömer Onan. Fenerbahçe Club President Sadettin Saran and board member Cem Ciritci presented a specially designed portrait to the former national player. The 51-year-old basketball figure played for Fenerbahçe, where he grew up in the youth system, between 1991-1999 and 2006-2007.

İbrahim Kutluay stated in his remarks that he experienced a very special and emotional moment, saying, "I was 10 years old when I first wore the jersey. My biggest dream was to rise to the A team and face the fans. I wore this jersey with pride for many years. I am very proud to be a Fenerbahçeli. I would like to thank Sadettin Saran for giving me this moment and honor."
