"Fenerbahçe's statement that will create a stir about Jose Mourinho."

Fenerbahçe released a statement regarding media member Ertem Şener, who made striking and controversial remarks about head coach Jose Mourinho.

"HE HAS CROSSED THE LINE"

The statement from the club is as follows;

"Ertem Şener, who has attempted to shift the rightful criticism made by our Head Coach Jose Mourinho regarding football dynamics to a different platform in a disrespectful manner with the aim of gaining interaction on social media, has crossed the line.

We inform him that no one can speak to our Head Coach, who carries the name of Fenerbahçe and has a brand identity in world football, in this ugly manner, nor can they show disrespect and insolence."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Ertem Şener had stated, "Jose Mourinho, you cannot call my colleague a coward. Come and join my live broadcast. This is Turkey, get yourself together. You are the guy who wins trophies by poking people in the eye."

"IT IS NOT TRUE THAT WE DID NOT WANT A FOREIGN VAR REFEREE"

Additionally, Fenerbahçe denied claims that they did not want a foreign VAR referee at the beginning of the season in another statement.

Here is the statement made by Fenerbahçe regarding the issue;

"Firstly, the news titled 'Galatasaray proposed, Fenerbahçe did not want' published in Fotomaç newspaper yesterday, despite being clearly denied in the press conference organized by our President Ali Y. Koç, has been circulated again by Tahir Kum. The claims that 'the General Secretary of Galatasaray, Eray Yazgan, requested a foreign VAR referee at the beginning of the season, and our club opposed this request' are absolutely untrue.

The reason for the media branches of this structure, which has increasingly weakened over the entrenched system in Turkish football, to circulate this false news again is clear.
