Fire Panic in Shopping Mall in Izmir

A fire at the Ege Perla shopping center located in the Konak district of Izmir caused panic. While those inside the mall were evacuated, 3 people were affected by smoke.

FIRE STARTED IN THE RESTAURANT, QUICKLY SPREAD

The fire broke out around 7:00 PM in the Ege Perla shopping center located in the Çınarlı neighborhood. According to initial reports, the fire started in a restaurant on the food floor and quickly spread. As the flames jumped to adjacent businesses, citizens tried to escape the mall in panic and fear.

3 PEOPLE AFFECTED BY SMOKE WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Upon notification, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While police teams ensured the safety of the area, those inside were evacuated. During this time, 3 people affected by smoke were taken to hospitals by ambulance after intervention at the scene. Firefighters began to intervene in the fire. Extinguishing efforts are ongoing.
