SERIOUSLY INJURED
In the incident that occurred at the Giresun Central Batlama Care Home location, the vehicle driven by Mehmet T. struck Ertan C., who was waiting by the roadside. Ertan C., thrown by the impact, was seriously injured. The driver was seen leaving the scene in his vehicle.
Footage from a workplace security camera revealed that shortly before the accident, Mehmet T. had arrived by vehicle and spoken with Ertan C., then left the area. Shortly after, the driver returned in the same vehicle and hit Ertan C., who was still waiting by the roadside, before fleeing the scene.
FLEEING DRIVER CAUGHT AND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
Upon notification, health teams dispatched to the scene provided first aid to the injured, who was then taken to Giresun Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that Ertan C.'s condition is life-threatening.
Since the incident occurred within the gendarmerie's jurisdiction, it was reported that the fleeing driver, Mehmet T., was caught and taken into custody by gendarmerie teams. The investigation into the incident continues.
