Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 1 ton 625 kilograms of raw material for drug pills and 6 pill pressing machines were seized in an operation conducted by the gendarmerie in Izmir, and 2 suspects were arrested. 1 TON 625 KILOGRAM OF RAW MATERIAL SEIZED
Minister Yerlikaya announced that a large amount of raw material used in drug pill production was seized in an operation carried out by the gendarmerie in Izmir. According to the information provided by Yerlikaya, 1 ton 625 kilograms of raw material for drug pills was seized in the operation, and 2 suspects were taken into custody.
COORDINATED WORK WAS CARRIED OUT
It was noted that the operation was organized as a result of the coordinated efforts of the Menderes Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Gendarmerie Narcotic Crimes Combat Department, carried out by the Izmir Provincial Gendarmerie Command.
MANUFACTURING FACILITY DECODED
Yerlikaya reported that it was determined that the suspects had established a manufacturing facility for drug production and trade, and that they were conducting drug trafficking in an organized manner. He stated that as a result of the gendarmerie's surveillance from street dealers to the production point, a drug manufacturing facility was decoded during the searches.
MACHINES AND RAW MATERIAL SEIZED
As part of the operation, 6 drug pill pressing machines and 1 ton 625 kilograms of raw material were seized. Yerlikaya expressed that 5.5 million drug pills could be produced with this seized raw material.

Emphasizing that the fight against drugs is being carried out with determination, Yerlikaya said, "We prevented the supply of drug pills to people and the harm to public health." Yerlikaya also stated, "Our fight against drugs, from the dealer to the manufacturer, is to protect all our citizens, especially our youth," and congratulated those who contributed to the operation.
