The footage of the attack in which three villagers opposing the 'Accommodation Recreation Area Project' in Hopa district of Artvin were shot by company officials, including Muhammet Ustabaş, has emerged. Ustabaş was arrested and sent to prison, while 46-year-old Reşit Kibar lost his life in the attack.

The footage of the armed fight that resulted in the death of Reşit Kibar and the injury of two others, between the villagers opposing the picnic area project in Borçka district of Artvin and the employees and officials of the company, has emerged without damaging the current HTML.

VILLAGERS STARTED RUNNING SUDDENLY

The footage shows the villagers running away after the sound of gunshots was captured on camera, following a verbal argument between the two groups.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In Cankurtaran region of Hopa district in Artvin, shots were fired at the villagers who were trying to prevent the tree cutting for the picnic area project. Reşit Kibar, who was severely injured when the villagers tried to obstruct the construction vehicles, could not be saved despite all interventions. Ersan Koyuncu and Gökhan Koyuncu were also injured.

After the incident, the suspects who fled, Muhammet Ustabaş and Fikret Merttürk, were apprehended and taken into custody, while Ustabaş, who caused Kibar's death, was arrested and sent to prison.
