The incident occurred around 16:30 on Rıfat Ilgaz Street in the Esenler neighborhood. According to allegations, I.G. (55) saw A.Z. (51), the man his wife had left him for, on the street. Running towards his rival, I.G. fired multiple shots at A.Z. While A.Z., shot in the back, collapsed to the ground, his friend A.T., who was chatting with him at the time, took refuge in a jewelry store with minor injuries. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
