Rüştü Saracoğlu, who served as the President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey from 1987 to 1993, passed away in Istanbul due to heart complications. His funeral will be held tomorrow after the prayer at Teşvikiye Mosque.
Former State Minister and President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Rüştü Saracoğlu (77) passed away in Istanbul. Rüştü Saracoğlu died in Istanbul due to heart disease. Saracoğlu's funeral will be held after the noon prayer at Teşvikiye Mosque tomorrow, and he will be buried in the family graveyard at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery. Rüştü Saracoğlu, the grandson of former Prime Minister Şükrü Saracoğlu, served as the President of the CBRT from 1987 to 1993, and later held a parliamentary seat in the Motherland Party (ANAP) and served as State Minister during the 53rd Government.

In the condolence message shared on CBRT's social media account, it was stated, "We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Rüştü Saracoğlu, who served as the President of the Central Bank from 1987 to 1993. We wish him mercy from God and extend our condolences to his family and all his loved ones."
