Former MHP member of parliament, retired Major General Kamil Erdal Sipahi, attempted suicide by ingesting a large number of pills. Police, who entered the house with the help of a locksmith, found the 76-year-old Sipahi motionless on the floor and took him to the hospital. It has been reported that his life remains in danger.

The retired Major General Kamil Erdal Sipahi (76), who was a member of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in the 23rd term of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and later joined the Good Party, allegedly attempted suicide by ingesting a large number of medications. It has been reported that Sipahi's life is in danger.

POLICE TEAMS DISPATCHED

Relatives of former MP Kamil Erdal Sipahi, who resides in Karşıyaka, İzmir, reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center after not hearing from him for a while. Upon the notification, police and 112 health teams were dispatched to Sipahi's home in Karşıyaka.

FOUND MOTIONLESS ON THE FLOOR

After officials pressed the doorbell for a long time without response, they entered the apartment with the help of a locksmith. Sipahi was found lying motionless on the floor.
