Following the war in the Middle East and the subsequent price increases, the decline in oil prices has raised the issue of a reduction in fuel prices. A decrease of 4.58 TL in diesel and 3 TL in gasoline is expected. However, due to the "escalation mobil system," a large portion of the reduction will be received as an excise tax refund. Therefore, it is anticipated that there will be a decrease of approximately 1.15 TL in diesel and 75 kuruş in gasoline reflected at the pump starting from midnight.

After the attacks by the USA and Israel on Iran, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz caused oil prices to rise sharply, and this situation was reflected in fuel prices in Turkey as well. Following the decline seen in global markets yesterday, expectations for a reduction in fuel prices have emerged.

After the war, fuel prices were increased consecutively, but due to the Eşel Mobil System, some of the increases were not fully reflected in pump prices. Nevertheless, vehicle owners, the logistics sector, and farmers were seriously affected by the rise in fuel prices. The last increase in gasoline was 80 kuruş starting from midnight last night. Previously, there was an increase of 53 kuruş in the price of diesel per liter and 39 kuruş in gasoline.

A DISCOUNT ON FUEL IS COMING TONIGHT

According to the information shared by journalist Olcay Aydilek; a reduction in gasoline and diesel prices is expected starting from midnight tonight. Accordingly, a decrease of 4.58 TL in diesel and 3 TL in gasoline is anticipated. However, most of the discount will be covered by the tax regulation under the Eşel Mobil System.

Therefore, the entire discount will not be reflected in pump prices. According to calculations, a decrease of approximately 1.15 TL in the price of diesel per liter and about 75 kuruş in the price of gasoline per liter is expected to be reflected on the board.
