Following the ceasefire in the Middle East, the sharp drop in oil prices is also reflected in fuel pump prices. According to information obtained from sector officials, there will be a reduction of 4.35 lira in diesel prices, effective from Tuesday.
After the war that started between the USA-Israel and Iran, the rising oil prices experienced a sharp decline following the ceasefire decision. Oil, which had been on an upward trend since February 28, turned its direction downward with the ceasefire.
The decline of over 10% in oil prices was directly reflected in fuel prices.
DOUBLE DISCOUNT ON FUEL
Following the decrease in oil prices, significant discounts were made on diesel and gasoline prices. A discount of 12.94 lira per liter was applied to diesel, while a discount of 1.09 lira was applied to gasoline.
PRICE INCREASE, FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY DISCOUNT NEWS
After a price increase of 4.14 lira for diesel during the day, expectations for a discount came to the agenda. A further discount of 4.35 lira on diesel is expected to be implemented starting from Tuesday, April 14.
PRICES HAVE FALLEN BACK TO THE 70 LIRA RANGE
With the discounts applied, diesel prices have fallen back to the 70 lira level. In Istanbul, diesel is priced at 71.85 lira, in Ankara at 72.90 lira, in Izmir at 73.15 lira, and in the Eastern provinces at 74.21 lira.
Gasoline prices have also decreased, falling to 62.16 lira in Istanbul, 63.13 lira in Ankara, 63.41 lira in Izmir, and 64.76 lira in the Eastern provinces.
