Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, announced that work on the Osmaneli-Bursa section of the Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Project has reached its final stage and test drives will begin. Upon completion, the line is expected to carry 30 million passengers annually and reduce travel time between Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul to 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that work on the Osmaneli-Bursa section of the Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Project has reached its final stage and test drives will begin soon.
Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a written statement regarding the Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Project. Minister Uraloğlu said, "We are implementing our Bandırma-Bursa-Yenişehir-Osmaneli High-Speed Train Line with a length of 201 kilometers, suitable for a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The entire line will have the capacity to serve approximately 30 million passengers and 59 million tons of freight traffic annually."
"BURSA-ANKARA TRAVEL TIME WILL DROP TO 2 HOURS 15 MINUTES"
Minister Uraloğlu also provided information about the ongoing work on the 106-kilometer Osmaneli-Bursa section of the line. Stating that the Osmaneli-Bursa section will directly connect Bursa to Turkey's high-speed train network, Minister Uraloğlu said, "When this section is completed, a train departing from Bursa will connect to the Ankara-Istanbul High-Speed Train Line via Osmaneli. Thus, approximately 3.2 million more people will have direct access to the high-speed train network. The travel time between Bursa-Ankara and Bursa-Istanbul will drop to 2 hours 15 minutes."
Minister Uraloğlu stated that work on the Osmaneli-Bursa section has reached its final stage and said, "We will soon begin test drives on this section. With these test drives, we will comprehensively check all systems of the line and prepare it for operation. After the tests are completed, we will connect Bursa to the high-speed train network."
