As the new year approaches, the salary increase for civil servants and retired civil servants has largely become clear. The 11% raise from the collective agreement, combined with the inflation data from November, has already resulted in a 17.57% increase in salaries. The inflation rate for December, which will be announced in January, will determine the final outcome. Additionally, a flat increase of 1,000 TL is also expected to be reflected in the salaries.

As the year 2026 approaches, millions of civil servants and retired civil servants are focused on the upcoming salary increase. While the 11% raise determined under the 8th Term Collective Agreement has been finalized, the inflation difference has also become clear with the November data.

INCREASE TABLE CLARIFIED

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.87% in November, while the annual inflation rate rose to 31.07%. With this data, the cumulative inflation for civil servants over the past 5 months has been calculated as 11.21%, leading to an inflation difference of 5.91%.

TOTAL INCREASE ALREADY 17.57%

With the 11% raise from the collective agreement combined with the 5.91% inflation difference, a total increase of 17.57% for civil servants and retired civil servants has already been confirmed. Only the December inflation, which will be announced in January, remains.

FLAT RAISE IS ALSO ON THE AGENDA

The additional payment of 1,000 TL included in the collective agreement will also be reflected in salaries in the new year. With the addition of this payment, a more significant increase in income is expected, especially for low-salaried civil servants.

After the additional 1,000 TL, the lowest civil servant salary will rise to 60,376 TL, while the lowest retired civil servant salary will increase to 27,654 TL.
