A 14-year-old girl named Gülçiçek Çiçekdağ, who went missing in the Çermik district of Diyarbakır, sent a video to her family. In the video, Çiçekdağ explained that she ran away willingly with a 28-year-old man. She stated, "No one forced me to run away. In fact, I was the one who came up with the plan to escape. I even told him I was much older than I actually am just so he would take me away. If I hadn't run away, my uncle would have asked for my hand in marriage at the end of this school year."
In the Çermik district of Diyarbakır, Gülçiçek Çiçekdağ (14), who went to school by bus and did not return, expressed in a video sent to her family through someone else on the 16th day that she ran away with M.Y. (28) of her own free will. Her uncle Ali Çiçekdağ also stated that his niece is 14 years old and that they have filed a complaint.
14-YEAR-OLD GÜLÇİÇEK HAS BEEN MISSING FOR DAYS
Gülçiçek Çiçekdağ, a first-year student at Çermik Girls' Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, went to school by bus from her home in the rural Alakoç neighborhood of Akpınar on April 7 and did not return. When the family could not reach Gülçiçek on their own, they reported her missing. A search operation was initiated to find Gülçiçek. The family stated that they learned their daughter was abducted by M.Y. for the purpose of marriage and filed a complaint.
SENT A VIDEO TO HER FAMILY: "I RAN AWAY OF MY OWN FREE WILL"
Gülçiçek Çiçekdağ, who has been out of contact for 16 days, sent a video to her family through someone else, saying that she ran away of her own free will. In the video, Çiçekdağ said: "I am Gülçiçek. I recorded this video because my family insisted that I was either dead or alive. Thank God I am not dead, and my family knows this very well. I ran away of my own free will. No one forced me to run away. In fact, I was the one who came up with the plan to escape. I even told them I was much older than I actually am just so they would abduct me.

If I hadn't run away, my uncle would have asked for me to marry his son at the end of this school year. I preferred to run away with the person I love. I am very happy where I am right now. My only wish is for both families to make peace without any fights."
"WE WANT OUR DAUGHTER"
Gülçiçek's uncle Ali Çiçekdağ stated that they have filed a complaint against those who abducted his niece, saying, "From the first day, Ş.Y. knows their whereabouts. He knows what is going on. I am also filing a complaint against him. We want our daughter. M.Y., who is 28 years old, has abducted our daughter from school. And without any shame, he says he is worried about my child. What are you worried about? We are the ones filing a complaint. We are filing a complaint against him and Ş.Y. We want our daughter. Our daughter is only 14 years old. Our daughter is still a student. He comes and abducts our daughter right at the school gate. So they shouldn't lie at all," he said.
