A surprising development occurred before the presidential election to be held on Sunday, September 21, at Fenerbahçe. Hakan Bilal Kutlualp announced that he is withdrawing his candidacy in favor of Sadettin Saran. Kutlualp stated, "There is a strong demand within our community for the two candidates to unite. He has assured us after our detailed discussions that there are no legal issues."
A surprising development occurred before the Fenerbahçe Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting. Hakan Bilal Kutlualp announced that he has withdrawn his candidacy for president in favor of Sadettin Saran.
"SADATTIN SARAN LEADS IN THE PREFERENCE OF MILLIONS"
Kutlualp stated the following in his statement regarding the matter; "It shows that Sadettin Saran is ahead in the preferences of millions who want change. Additionally, there is a strong demand within our community for the unification of two candidates. He has stated to us that there are no legal issues following our detailed discussions with him. The fact that our club and our High Advisory Board have also expressed that they find his candidacy appropriate, and that he has not received any negative opinions from government institutions, has influenced our decision."
2 CANDIDATES WILL COMPETE
Following Hakan Bilal Kutlualp's withdrawal, the current president Ali Koç and Sadettin Saran will compete for the presidency at Fenerbahçe.
BREATHS ARE HELD
The Fenerbahçe Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting with elections will be held on September 20-21, 2025, at the site of the old Kenan Evren High School, adjacent to the Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.
