As we approach the end of September, temperatures are dropping. Starting from Thursday, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected in 31 provinces. In Istanbul, the rain will continue until Friday, while in the Black Sea region, it will last until Sunday.
As we approach the end of September, temperatures have noticeably begun to drop during the night and morning hours. While the southern cities continue to experience warm weather, 31 cities in the west of the country and the Black Sea Region will be under the influence of a rainy weather wave that will last for three days.
STARTING ON THURSDAY
Tomorrow (Wednesday), partly cloudy weather will dominate across the country. However, starting from Thursday, especially in the Marmara and Black Sea regions, heavy downpours are expected. The meteorology department reported that rain will be effective in Istanbul on Thursday and Friday, while the rains along the Black Sea coasts will continue until Sunday.
31 PROVINCES EXPECTING RAIN
According to the meteorology report, the provinces expected to experience thunderstorms and heavy rain are as follows:
Marmara: Yalova, Bursa, Bilecik, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Istanbul
Western Black Sea: Bolu, Düzce, Bartın, Karabük, Kastamonu
Central and Eastern Black Sea: Sinop, Samsun, Amasya, Tokat, Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Artvin
Eastern Anatolia: Erzincan, Erzurum, Ardahan, Kars, Ağrı
Mediterranean: Mersin, Adana, Osmaniye, Hatay
HOW WILL THE WEATHER BE TODAY?
According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is expected that the general weather of our country will be partly cloudy with some areas being very cloudy, while the Eastern Black Sea coasts, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, the inner parts of eastern Antalya, the coastal areas of Hatay, and the northern outskirts of Kahramanmaraş will experience local showers and thunderstorms, while other areas will be mostly clear. It is expected that the wind will blow strongly (30-50 km/h) from the north in the southern Aegean coasts.
TEMPERATURE: It is expected that air temperatures will decrease by 2 to 4 degrees in the inner parts of the Black Sea, while no significant changes are expected in other areas.
WIND: Generally light winds from the north, occasionally moderate, and strong winds (30-50 km/h) are expected along the southern Aegean coasts.
