It is known that the actor, who was claimed to have attempted suicide at his home in Beşiktaş yesterday by some media outlets, was actually hospitalized due to health problems.
"HE WAS ADMITTED TO INTENSIVE CARE BECAUSE HIS HEART RATE SLOWED DOWN"
Umut Özkan, Ufuk Özkan's brother, provided detailed information about his brother's health condition:
"He was admitted to intensive care around 6 PM yesterday because his heart rate slowed down and his values dropped. He is currently in intensive care, and all his values and heart rhythm are being monitored. There is an approximately 48-hour monitoring process. If his values return to normal, he will either be transferred to a regular ward or discharged by noon tomorrow."
LIVER TRANSPLANT PROCESS
Umut Özkan reminded that the actor has been receiving treatment for liver failure for a long time and provided information about the transplant process:
"The liver transplant is urgent. A young friend we met during a commercial shoot in Konya volunteered and was found to be compatible. This situation was transparently recorded in the reports. However, despite all the sincere explanations, the committee made a rejection decision."
RESPONSE TO SUICIDE ALLEGATIONS
Umut Özkan also addressed the allegations circulating in the public, stating, "There is no suicide process at all. He just experienced a morale decline. The rejection decision from the committee also negatively affected my brother's psychology. But those who know my brother know that he stands strong with the love of the people and will get through these days as well."
