Following Hamas's acceptance of Trump's Gaza plan, one of the organization's senior leaders, Musa Abu Marzouk, made a notable statement. Marzouk said, "We will not surrender our weapons until the occupation ends. We will provide arms to the future Palestinian state, and whoever governs Gaza will have weapons in their hands."

Hamas announced that while accepting U.S. President Donald Trump's prisoner exchange in the Gaza plan, other issues need to be negotiated.

HAMAS PARTIALLY ACCEPTED TRUMP'S PLAN

In a written statement from Hamas, it was noted that Trump's plan was evaluated responsibly. Hamas announced that it accepted the release of all Israeli prisoners, provided that conditions on the ground are met to end Israeli attacks and ensure a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and stated that it is ready to immediately start negotiations with mediators for details in this context.

Hamas reiterated its consensus to transfer the administration of the Gaza Strip to an independent Palestinian body based on Palestinian national consensus and the support of Arab and Islamic countries. Stating that the future of Gaza should be addressed based on international law and decisions, Hamas noted that it would be discussed within the framework of Palestinian national consensus, with the participation of Hamas as well.

HAMAS: WE WILL ARM THE FUTURE PALESTINIAN STATE

One of the Hamas leaders, Musa Abu Marzuk, made a striking statement. Marzuk said they would not lay down their arms until the occupation ends. Marzuk stated, "We will arm the future Palestinian state, and whoever governs Gaza will have weapons in their hands."

"THE REFERENCE IS THE MAHMOUD ABBAS ADMINISTRATION"

Marzuk said, "The priority is to stop the war and massacres. In this regard, we viewed the plan positively. We agreed on the transfer of the Gaza administration to an independent institution, body. And the reference for this is the Abbas administration."

THE "DISARMAMENT" CLAUSE IN THE GAZA PLAN

The relevant clause in Trump's Gaza Plan that foresees Hamas's disarmament is as follows:

"Hamas and other groups agree not to play any role in the administration of Gaza, directly or indirectly, in any way. All military, terrorist, and attack infrastructures, including tunnels and weapons production facilities, will be destroyed and will not be rebuilt. There will be a process of demilitarization of Gaza under the supervision of independent monitors. This will include the permanent incapacitation of weapons and an approved liquidation process supported by an internationally funded buyback and reintegration program; this program will be verified by independent monitors. The new Gaza will be committed to building a fully prosperous economy and living peacefully alongside its neighbors."
