The brown marmorated stink bug has started to be seen in large numbers in the Ferizli and Kaynarca districts of Sakarya. Especially in Ferizli, it has been observed that the bugs are covering the walls of apartment buildings, raising concerns among residents.

The brown marmorated stink bug, first seen in Turkey in 2017 in Artvin and Istanbul, has virtually invaded some houses in the Ferizli and Kaynarca districts of Sakarya.

The invasive brown marmorated stink bug, native to China, Japan, and Taiwan, was first detected in Artvin and Istanbul in 2017 after spreading throughout America and then to all of Europe.
