THEY WILL STAY IN THE HOUSE'S MOST BEAUTIFUL ROOM FOR 5 MONTHS
After closing the doors and windows and leaving an iron-barred window open, Kemal Diril covered the bees with a blanket and then a tent before moving them to the winter quarters. The honey bees, which will stay in the house's most beautiful room for 5 months, will be taken outside again in the spring and relocated elsewhere.
"THE BEST HONEY IN THE WORLD"
Kemal Diril, who has lived here for years, stated that he takes great care of the honey bees and produces genuine organic honey. Diril said, "My father used to live here. After my father passed away, we settled here; we have a two-story house. As the name suggests, Kovankaya village is the first place where wild honey is produced. The honey here is considered the most expensive honey in the world. We sell it for 10,000 TL per kilo, and we do not use any medication. We don't even produce smoke. The honey is produced naturally on its own. I used medication last year. Most of the honey bees died, but this year I didn't use anything, and nothing happened. I have 40 beehives. I have given each one a name and a number. Some honey bees are lazy, so I don't want them to swarm. This place is untouched and sells for a high price," he said.
