In a street interview, a woman's comments about the minimum wage caught attention. She stated that her monthly income is 25,000 lira and that she pays 9,000 lira in rent. The woman said, "My child is growing up on avocado and cashews. How is there no purchasing power?"

The new minimum wage for 2025 has been set at 22,104 lira. While the new figure does not satisfy a large portion of minimum wage earners, there are also those who argue that it is sufficient.

STRIKING WORDS IN THE MINIMUM WAGE INTERVIEW

The words of a woman speaking about the new minimum wage in a street interview caught attention. She mentioned that her home is rented, and her husband, who works in a factory, earns 25,000 lira per month. Despite this, she stated that they manage to get by, and even that her child is growing up on avocado cashew.

"MY DAUGHTER CAN EAT AVOCADO CASHEW"

In the interview, the citizen used the following expressions: "My child is growing up on avocado cashew. How is there no purchasing power? Only my husband works. My home is rented. I do not work. But I can buy everything. My husband earns 25,000 lira. He works in a factory. The rent of my house is 9,000 TL. But it is enough. As I see that people in Gaza cannot find a piece of bread... My daughter can eat avocado cashew."
