In the Tarsus district of Mersin, 37-year-old Aziz Çiftçi ran over and killed his 2-year-old son Salih Çiftçi while trying to park his minibus. At the funeral, the father Aziz Çiftçi bid farewell to his son and was taken into custody after the burial proceedings.

TRAGEDY WHILE PARKING
The accident occurred yesterday in the Çiçekli neighborhood. Aziz Çiftçi, returning home with the service vehicle he used to transport agricultural workers, ran over his son Salih Çiftçi, who was on the street while he was trying to park the minibus.
The severely injured child could not be saved despite all interventions at the hospital where he was taken.
FATHER ATTENDED FUNERAL, THEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
The body of Salih Çiftçi, handed over to his family after the autopsy procedures, was buried in the Çiçekli Neighborhood Cemetery.
Father Aziz Çiftçi, who attended his son's funeral, was taken into custody after the burial and brought to the police station for statements. It was reported that the investigation into the accident continues.
