A COFFIN WORTH 4 MILLION 270 THOUSAND LIRA
The gold-plated coffin used in the funeral attracted great interest from attendees as well as social media users.
It was noteworthy that those carrying the coffin were dressed in pure white, and the design and extravagant appearance of the coffin became a topic of discussion. Some sources claimed that the value of the coffin was estimated to be between 100 million Nigerian naira (approximately 100 thousand dollars) and 150 million naira (approximately 150 thousand dollars).
The equivalent of this amount in Turkish lira is 4 million 270 thousand lira.
A LUXURIOUS FAREWELL
Family members, relatives, and many community members attended the ceremony. The funeral, which spread across social media platforms through videos and photos, was interpreted as both "a luxurious farewell" and a cause for debate, as the ceremony took place in a very impoverished area of the Baselya state.
