In Esenyurt, Istanbul, Tolgahan S. forcibly entered the house of Emine G., whom he met online, and assaulted her in the presence of security guards. The incident was captured on a mobile phone camera.

The incident took place in a site located in Yeşilkent neighborhood around 23:00 yesterday. Emine G. and Tolgahan S., who met a few months ago, had been talking for about 2 months. The two started arguing shortly after they met.

ASSAULTED IN FRONT OF SECURITY GUARDS

Last night, when Emine G. opened the door, thinking that an order had arrived, she encountered Tolgahan S. Tolgahan S., who forcibly entered the house, threatened Emine G. in front of the security guards and assaulted her. The security guards tried to stop Tolgahan S. and take the knife he had in his hand. Tolgahan S., who repeatedly hit Emine G., was eventually taken out with difficulty by the security guards. Upon the notification, the police teams who arrived at the scene detained the suspect Tolgahan S.

THE ASSAILANT CLAIMED HE TOOK THE KNIFE BECAUSE HE WAS AFRAID

In her statement to the police, Emine G. explained that she met Tolgahan S. online to be friends, that there was no emotional connection between them, and that they had been arguing for a while. Tolgahan S., on the other hand, claimed in his initial interrogation that Emine G. attacked him with a cezve (a Turkish coffee pot), and he defended himself with a knife because he was afraid and did not harm anyone. The suspect Tolgahan S., whose procedures were completed at the Esenyurt Family and Domestic Violence Combat Bureau, was referred to the courthouse on charges of 'threat, insult, violation of residential immunity, and intentional injury'. Emine G. filed a complaint against Tolgahan S., and the moment of the incident was recorded by Emine G.'s roommate with a mobile phone camera.
